A talk by Programme Director Christopher Hood entitled ‘Risk and Government: The architectonics of blame-avoidance’  on 5th February drew an audience of 800 people, and focused on the risk that matters most in politics and bureaucracy –  the risk of blame. Further details of the talk can be found here and a video is available here.

The talk was part of the Darwin College Lecture Series , which has been running since 1986 Darwin College as a series of eight public lectures, each  built around a single theme, approached in a multi-disciplinary way, and with each lecture prepared for a general audience by a leading authority on his or her subject.
