The 2007 Projects Meeting took place at Oxford University on Friday 8th June 2007 at 10:45 ( Week 7, Trinity Term).
The annual projects meetings are an opportunity for researchers engaged in the Public Services Programme across the UK to come together and explore synergies and prospects for cooperation. This year’s meeting was held in the Department of Politics and International Relations, University of Oxford.
Agenda

10:00 – Coffee and tea

10:45 – Christopher Hood: overview of developments in the Public Services Programme and introduction of new Deputy Director, Deborah Wilson, as well as our new ESRC Case Officer, Chris Wyatt

11:15 – An introduction to the new third call projects and fellowships

12:00 – John Curtice speaks about his project ‘Public Attitudes and Public Service Responsiveness’, a UK-wide survey of attitudes to public services, and its relation to the Programme’s other projects. Followed by Q&A session

12:40 – Lunch

13:25 – Break into subgroups (see below)

15:25 – Report back on subgroup discussions and future plans

15:40 – Ken Meier (Texas) gives a short talk about the Public Service Programme’s research and its potential impact.

16:00 – Finish

The afternoon was mainly spent divided into subgroups. The five theme-related subgroups are listed here (the projects are identified by the name of the principal investigator, even if it is other team members who attended).
