Risk and Public Services is a collection of six pieces developed from a conference on Risk and Public Services convened jointly by the ESRC Public Services Programme and the LSE’s Centre for Analysis of Risk and Regulation at the end of 2007. Covering a variety of topics related to Risk and Risk Management in a variety of fields, we hope this collection will help to promote continued discussion of a topic that is central to the provision of public services and likely to become more so in times of fiscal squeeze.

This special publication featurs articles from Christopher Hood (Oxford), Peter Miller (LSE), Sally Lloyd-Bostock (LSE), Ellie Scrivens (Keele), Rod Morgan (Bristol), Tony Travers (LSE) and Sue White (Lancaster).
