Programme researcher Andreas Cebulla has found that the public may fail to report crimes because they are doubtful about the service they will receive from the police, with some groups in society being less trusting of the police. Cebulla’s findings concord with findings in the Independent Review of Policing published in February 2008 and are featured on ESRC Society Today.
